At the Design and Arts College of New Zealand we’ve been helping students cultivate their creativity for more than 30 years. We know that the Fashion industry is a particularly exciting one, and New Zealand has a distinct and unique point of view to offer the world stage.
We want to help you grow and develop your passion for fashion and in 2023 we’re offering two full-time qualifications to support you in kick-starting your career.
New Zealand Certificate in Fashion - Level 4
You will learn introductory skills in drawing, illustration, digital, flat pattern-making, garment construction, manufacturing and textile knowledge.
You'll also study the fashion industry both in NZ and internationally and explore clothes, hair and makeup styling, photo shoots, how to manage a fashion-based online presence, and introductory marketing techniques.
New Zealand Diploma in Fashion - Level 5
This is the natural progression for those who have completed the New Zealand Certificate in Fashion, or those with the basic skills to go straight in to the Diploma level.
You'll learn conceptual and practical skills that reflect current fashion design industry best-practice and self-management of design projects by responding to design briefs.
